Golden Alpine Holidays currently operates 4 lodges within the Esplanade Range in SE British Columbia over an area of 150 square kilometers. All lodges are geographically located at the junction of the famous Selkirk, Rocky and Purcell Mountain Ranges surrounded by National Parks on two sides. All lodges are situated above 2100 meters above sea level in a beautiful pristine alpine environment

New Meadow Lodge 

Our three original lodges are designed for comfort and efficiency. Each lodge can accommodate up to 14 clients and 4 staff. Propane is used for lighting, cooking and drying gear. Centrally located, wood burning stoves provide heat for all lodges with ample split wood right outside the door of each lodge. All  lodges contain new upstairs bedrooms arranged for both single and double occupancy.  The newly refurbished kitchen contains an oven, stainless steel countertops plus cooking and eating utensils

Meadow Lodge was the scene of Match Stick Production's soon to be released "The Way I See It"

Sunrise Lodge

Sunrise Lodge is located at the headwaters of Wisted Creek and offers stunning views of Rockies to the west and Purcells to the south. Sunrise is the southern gateway to the amazing Esplanade Range.

Terrain Choices for all Abilities

Sunrise has some of the most diverse terrain choices in the entire range containing a perfect balance of alpine and tree skiing.  All aspects are well represented at Sunrise.  Panorama Dome is only minutes away and has fantastic north facing tree skiing.  Margaritaville is one of our alpine gems that access the Mayvill Creek drainage or try any of the other 32 ski runs in the area.

Sunrise has recently undergone major interior and exterior renovations designed to make the lodge last for many years to come.

Meadow Lodge

Meadow lodge is one of the highest alpine lodges in Canada, located adjacent to a small lake near the headwaters of the Carrol Creek drainage. The lodge is tucked along the northern flanks of Cupola Peak (2632m), the highest peak in the Esplanades. 

North Facing Paradise

Meadow Lodge is the launching pad to some of the steepest and longest runs in the Esplanades.  Tremendous alpine skiing can be found right out the back door of the lodge. Numerous, long north facing runs characterize Meadow ski terrain.  A short hike to Paradise Ridge is access point for some of the Esplanades best west facing runs.  From here you're treated to incredible views of Mt. Sir Sandford which at an elevation of 11,545 ft or 3519 meters is the highest mountain in the entire Selkirk Range. 

Extensive revovations at Meadow have now been completed. Be one of the first groups to enjoy the new amenities.

Vista Lodge

Vista lodge is located in the middle of a beautiful alpine meadow at the edge of Vista Lake near the source of Schlicting Creek.  

5 Drainages to Ski

Vista has five drainages to ski offering a myriad of terrain choices.  Vista is also the portal to the big alpine zones off Cherub Glacier to the west.  Strategically located at the center of the Esplanade Range, Vista is equally famous for its' amazing spring skiing.

Vista lodge is the latest lodge to be extensively renovated ensuring many more years of service

It is an elegantly simple and sustainable new era Backcountry Alpine Lodge 

Renewable Micro Hydro Power generates AC current throughout the lodge.  Two heat efficient fireplaces keep things warm

Running hot and cold water, indoor urinals and a snow savvy structure are just some of the design elements waiting to be discovered

Sentry will exclusively offer Summer and Winter Guided&Catered services with a Gourmet Casual North American and Asian Menu
