Freeride Touring Symposium

How should a ski boot designer balance comfort and performance? What's the optimal ski side-cut vs profile shape for laying out the best powder lines? Where does the binding designer find the work place to develop a product that can handle the touring as easily as the stomping? How can the next generation gear get better? You got to bring the R&D team to the alpine!

Coming hard off the heels of ground breaking Freeride Touring Camps earlier in December that synthesized safety with shredding; GAH is set to up it one more notch with a Global Freeride Touring Symposium this April 14-18th, 2012. Led by renowned skier-designer Eric Hjorleifson working alongside veteran ski guides like Russel Lybarger and "Super" Dave Osbourne; GAH will provide the resources and venue to bring innovators into the alpine for a unique on snow workshop

The Esplanade Range in the Northern Selkirk Mountains in SE BC is the center of the global powder universe so it's only logical that a meeting of the minds should assemble there. Sentry Mountain Lodge will provide lodging for this first of a kind event open only to certified industry representatives. Check out Itinerary! But what if you're not in the industry elite? Fear not!  GAH will be running Freeride Touring Camps throughout symposium week and the weeks following
