a summit on the summer traverse of 2007

Summer Traverse

Family, friends and hardworking staff mates embarked on the first full summer traverse of all four lodges this summer.  The trip started out at Sentry on August 25th, and ended at Sunrise on September 1st.  We all discovered first hand that surprises exist around every corner in the Esplanades.  Diversity typified our trip. One of the many highlights was the staggering views of the biggest mountains in the Canadian Rockies from the summit of Cupola Peak on an aquamarine blue sky day.  Another memory was watching multi-colored hummingbirds and rare alpine flowers in the  rainforest environment below Silhouette Lake.  Going back next summer is a "No Brainer".  Along the way, we even managed to install the first alpine webcam in the Selkirk Mountains of BC..

Sunrise Lodge Renovations and Nordic Skiing

Starting on September 9th and extending through the short fall, we embarked on a big exterior renovation of Sunrise Lodge.  Brand new siding and window units were installed.  At Sentry, our Nordic trail system is now operational. Elite Athletes from Team Canada will be onsite to test our track later this month.

New Lodge Rental Prices

All this activity means GAH is sending a message to all back country adventure seekers.  We are proud of the fact that up in the Esplanades there is something for every budget and taste.  Starting immediately, GAH will offer the most competitive pricing around for renting our fleet of original lodges.  You can now book Sunrise, Meadow or Vista for less than $5000 per week and a competitively low price of $350.00 per person for helicopter flights.  At Sentry, we are continuing to raise the bar by offering only Guided and Catered services at our flagship lodge.

Our client reviews tell us that our scenery, skiing terrain, extensive hiking trails, cuisine and above all our staff is world class.  We know the Esplanades are special.  We want you to find out too!
