Read to Hike

Waiver	All participants on a Golden Alpine Holidays trip must read and sign a waiver form. You will need to properly sign an original copy of the waiver in the presence of a Golden Alpine Holidays employee before being allowed to commence your trip
Night Prior to Trip	We recommend that you stay in Golden, British Columbia the night before your trip.
Meeting Place	Golden Alpine Holidays office is located in the town of Golden, British Columbia at #105-806 9th St. North. You can contact us toll free at 1-888-344-6424. All participants of GAH trips are required to meet at the office at 9:00 AM Mountain Standard Time in order to sign your waiver form. Helicopter flights begin at 11 AM at a staging facility operated by GAH 45 kilometers west of the town of Golden adjacent to the Trans Canada highway. There is ample parking at our staging facility. Please note this parking area is not secure. Please do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
Baggage	A maximum baggage weight of 25 lbs/person of personal gear is allowed. Please be properly dressed for back country conditions before you enter the helicopter. It can be up to 10C cooler at the lodges than at the staging facility so dress warmly even in the middle of summer. A medium sized day pack is often enough for all your gear. Suitcases, large duffel bags and hard shell luggage are not allowed.
Traverse	If you are booked on a Traverse you should pack your gear so that all personal items can be placed in one pack. A 30-40 Liter pack should be sufficient . You will also need to carry your sheet and pillow case provided by GAH between lodges in addition to your daily ski touring gear.
Alcohol	Sunrise, Vista and Meadow do not have a liquor license. Please refrain from bringing bottles instead choose wine boxes and/or beer cans. Sentry Mountain Lodge is a licensed establishment and offers a high quality selection of wine and beer. Custom alcohol orders can be special ordered provided we are given at least one month notice.
